Fly the Unfriendly Skies in the StarCraft 747
Snowstorm and Peninsula Broadcast have sign a deal for one of the biggest videogame advertising campaigns ever: StarCraft 2-branded 747 airliners.
Most videogame companies that want to advertise a new game will come up with a few online ads, one or two for play mags and maybe, if the budget is thither, a television system spot: Part of a cut scene, a bit of gameplay action, some narration and information technology's ready to go. Rash, however, isn't virtually videogame companies, so when it came time to advertise StarCraft 2 in Korea, it took a bit of a different coming and branded non just one, but two – yes, two – entire 747s.
The StarCraft jets will function within Korea, of course, and will also fly to North America and Common Market. Snowstorm same the ads are a "huge chance" to get the Word of God out about StarCraft 2, while Korean Transmit apparently sees them as a fashio to appeal to a junior generation of fliers in a country that has a powerful "thing" for StarCraft, with vocation players and teams, major sponsorships and even televised competitions.
Distinctly, the incoming rational step is to replace in-flight of steps movies on the two planes with in-flight StarCraft tournaments. And if nobody at Korean Air has thought of that nonetheless, consider it a freebie from your friends at The Escapist.
