I started off liking ol' Jack; I mean being told to "settle" is kinda caveman hot. I retrieve readers will appreciate that he's non a man'ho or an emo cracked egg.
Same with Bethany... She charges a group of armed dudes the size of football game linebackers to protect her grandma and has given up her life and career to aid her grandma not lose everything to Alzheimer's.
Where It Went Wrong
Everywhere, mainly:/
• The MCs only have two interactions up until 30%. Interactions are sparse and curt. There is Cypher chemistry. Dialogue between the 2 is generalized and of no moment. There'south no buildup or tension. Past 45%, they've still only had 4 interactions, none of which are memorable or meaningful.
• Repetitive mantras and musings on their private lives and about each thinking about the other.
• Besides much mundane walking nigh, sitting about, eating, drinking, sleeping, secondary conversations, etc. Pure fluff.
• Too much detail and info on what supporting characters are doing, such as the series killer briefings and meetings being page upon page upon page of asinine shit that'due south a given or that's non needed/wanted. This does nix merely stifle the flow, pacing, and mojo of the story with useless facts.
• Meanwhile, there's a bright cherry flag element linking all the serial killer targets together, which I imagine Scooby Doo himself would be able to signal out, but it's barely discussed. They go on and on near a L-I-N-K between the victims and never talk over the band finger being cut off and what that tells them profiler-wise. Become-become inspector gadget.
• Too much of the much ado. The drunk fisherman scene is perfect example. Adrenaline blitz that leaves her weak and needing his strength over a unproblematic fisticuffs fight. Give me a interruption, and that's not the type of chick that barrels into a group of armed linebackers. Grapheme inconsistencies.
• Too much telling. The writer tells this story through third person inner thoughts. Petty is shown. Dialogue is stiff and mostly of no substance whatsoever.

This just isn't holding my involvement. At this point, the serial killer, the romance, the characters...
I'yard bored and frustrated with it; the author is telling me everything I don't desire to hear and showing me null that I want to be shown. So...
I experience as though I have accomplished this with Series Dear. A spin-off series, you lot will see a few familiar faces, only mostly exist introduced to a new ready of men and women to fall in beloved with!

This was a decent read, H wasn't a manwhore that was a plus, h wasn't a virgin. The mystery keep me interested. I did guess who the baddie was, only the writer did throw a lot of red herrings into the story.
I look forward to the books about the other guys, though I wish I hadn't had to hear how much of a manwhore some of them were since we will somewhen be getting books for them and that info will stick in my caput.

Ladies let me tell you that when they got together it was Damn about explosive. Their Chemistry was Smoking. I love the way they both wanted what was all-time for each other and worked to give the other just that.

I've been itching for a good romance thriller since I finished reading all of Jennifer Armentrout's book. This was a costless book on amazon today and it was, for in one case, a skilful volume! Normally the free books are garbage but I really enjoyed this.Stars Jack and Bethany, two souls that were destined to run into - both sad for different reasons, but perfect for i another. This was my offset time reading Maryann Jordan and I am so glad I did. This was an interesting mystery with Jack, the head of an aristocracy private security business firm working with his team to observe a serial killer in his home state. While Jack and his team dive deeper and deeper into the case he simultaneously pursues a human relationship with his lovely neighbour Bethany.Bethany is a smart, loving, feisty and independent female pb that you tin't assistance only similar. Jack is the super hot, all alpha-male person sweetheart you can't assistance only dearest, fifty-fifty when you're annoyed with him. ;-)

When I stumbled across this author's Honey series, she completely absorbed me and since then, I but proceed coming dorsum. Her alpha males fight hard and love fifty-fifty harder. I loved this book. It was a fast read that I devoured in one sitting. From the outset page, I was sucked in and couldn't put it downwardly until the end, knowing they got their happy catastrophe. This book was sexy, sweet, fun, intense, passionate, and had a sweet love story wrapped with suspense and tons of twists. I absolutely love the start to this new series and cannot wait for it to progress with ore of Jack's men. I liked the h. Sweetness but still strong and independent, didn't act stupid or young and was straight frontwards. H was ok but didn't similar the nicknames (doll, beautifull, darling etc). Sometimes I zoned out and tried to picture show him in my mind while saying or doing something and just started to laugh. Bordering on as well controling.
